Starting her career as a fitness professional in 1999, Kirsty has established herself as one of Australia's leading group fitness instructors and educators in Australia. Her passion for group fitness has driven her to produce online courses, write journal articles and present at national and international fitness conventions.
Blackwood Group Fitness is the product of her passion for group fitness and her community.
Kay has been in the fitness industry for over 40 years, teaching at Blackwood Fitness for 12 years. She teaches Gentle Dance, Aerosculpt and Gentle Aero.
As an educator and mentor Kay inspires and supports thousands of clients and colleagues to embrace an active lifestyle at all stages of life. Kay enhances people’s lives by sharing her knowledge and passion for fitness, and motivating them in her classes that are legendary for their fun.
Rachael's love for group fitness grew as a participant, and exploded as an instructor! She has made it her mission to help every participant feel successful in every class, no matter the fitness level. She is your go-to when is comes to freestyle aerobics, Body Pump and Pilates!
Jay has been teaching since 2006 and specialises in freestyle aerobics. Jay loves teaching and tries to make her classes challenging and fun. All her classes are achievable for all ages, even Straight & Strong.
LAUREN GREEN GERACE
Lauren is passionate about awareness of the mind body connection in our fast paced society and adores inspiring her participants with Yoga and Mind Body classes. Lauren truly believes that embodying these practices helps to reconnect to ones true self through mindful movement and breath. Lauren’s mantra is that movement is for everybody and she loves to ensure her classes are inclusive for all individuals. Lauren is also a mentor and presenter and enjoys empowering people to find their own mind body potential.
KATYA KOVAC LE CORNU
Katya has been teaching group fitness since 2015, and currently teaches Drumball at Blackwood Group Fitness. She enjoys the atmosphere and community of group fitness and is passionate about making her Drumball classes challenging but fun.
Tom has been teaching for two years. He fell in love with the energy and feeling he received after his first group fitness class. From that point on, group classes completely changed his perspective on fitness. His mission when he teaches is to give that same life-changing moment that he gained at the start, to others when he is on the stage. Attend one of Tom's classes and you can guarantee you will get an amazing workout.
Pete has been a Group Fitness Instructor for 16 years and teaches a wide range of programs including Les Mills, Freestyle Aero and Zumba. His commitment to his members and dedication to creating fun and exciting routines means his classes are always packed.
